# Query Fan-Out Cluster Mapping Skill File

## When to use

Use this when a page ranks in classic search results but AI answers skip your content. Run it before drafting so you build coverage for sub-queries instead of polishing one keyword page.

## Steps

1. Pick one core prompt and export at least 15 variants, including follow-up and comparison forms.
2. Group those variants into 3 to 5 intent buckets such as definition, implementation, comparison, and risk.
3. Assign one page target per bucket, then draft each page to answer that bucket fully.
4. Link sibling pages where entities overlap so the cluster can be retrieved across related prompts.
5. Recheck citation patterns after 14 days and expand any bucket page that never appears in AI answers.

## Examples

- Weekly solo routine from the post: collect 15 prompts, sort into 4 buckets, and assign one page angle to each bucket before writing a single paragraph.
- Lightweight cadence from the post: run the mapping in a 2-hour Friday block for 4 weeks to complete one fan-out cluster.
- Tracking rule from the post: if one bucket never appears during the 14-day check, treat it as a coverage gap and expand that page before starting a new cluster.

## Notes

Do not start with title tweaks or backlink work. Start with bucket coverage first, then polish individual pages.
